Result of 0/0 in Oracle Sql*Plus

If i need to initialize a variable to 1 in my code, i might use it following sql code once in my life, i will not do it twice.

Declare i number; begin select count(*) into i from (select 0/0 from dual ); exception when others then i := 1; end;
